Panoz Ready to Livestrong on 2 Wheels

Toronto - ON (August 17th, 2006)  Multimatic Motorsports Team Panoz drivers David Brabham, Scott Maxwell, Gunnar Jeannette and Tom Milner will swap four wheels for two to gain some extra laps at this weekend's round of the American Le Mans Series at Road America.

All four drivers will take part in the Tour de Road America – a cycling event in support of the Lance Armstrong Foundation and the millions of people whose lives are affected by cancer.

The ride will commence after the day's on-track action at 6.15pm on Saturday and will continue until darkness falls on the classic Wisconsin circuit.

The Multimatic Motorsports squad enters this weekend fresh from a recent three day test at Road Atlanta.

The successful outing at the home of Petit Le Mans has the team in a confident frame of mind after two tough weekends at Salt Lake City and Portland.

With temperatures in the mid 70s range predicted for the weekend, Multimatic Vice President and Motorsports Technical Director Larry Holt believes his team's pair of Panoz Esperante GTLM machines should challenge strongly this weekend.

"Our test at Road Atlanta went very well and we were able to work through a number of tire combinations with Pirellli," Holt said."We also worked on a number of other improvements which should squeeze a bit more speed out of the car for the final few races.

"Road America, our home track at Mosport, Road Atlanta and Mazda Raceway are four circuits which should suit our cars well so we have our sights set on a very strong finish to the season."
