Knockhill next for Team Eurotech

Mike Jordan and Team Eurotech will head north to the Knockhill track in Scotland for the next round of the 2006 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, with three races at the Dunfermline venue over the weekend of 2/3 September.

Having already finished on the podium three times this season, including winning at Mondello Park, Jordan is determined to be challenging for another podium finish in the John Guest and Pirtek-supported Honda Integra.

Knockhill is a unique track, with dramatic elevation changes and the touring cars regularly get airborne as they bounce over the kerbs on the twisty section of track. It is also renowned for unpredictable weather, as it is a moorland track in the hills above Dunfermline and races are often affected by poor weather conditions.

"Overall, Snetterton was our best weekend of the season so far," says Jordan. "We were competitive all weekend and really able to battle with the works cars. We're aiming to continue that form at Knockhill, which is a track I know really well."

The Scottish track has been resurfaced and widened since 2005 and those changes are expected to improve lap times and increase overtaking opportunities. As ever, a bumper crowd is expected for the annual BTCC meeting in Scotland.

As usual, Sunday's BTCC action will have excellent TV coverage. On ITV1, an extensive programme on Sunday afternoon will carry the third race of the day live along with highlights from the opening two races. Meanwhile, the Motors TV channel will carry live coverage from Knockhill throughout Sunday's racing.
