"We will be making our official return to the WRC in just a few months' time now with the Citroën C4 which has been built and developed to permit the brand to re-conquer the Manufacturers' and Drivers' World Championship titles," announced Automobiles Citroën's Managing Director, Claude Satinet.
"The Xsara years are about to end and I am counting on everyone at Citroën Sport to make the Citroën C4 era just as glorious," added Guy Fréquelin who paid a resounding tribute not only to his team but also to the triple Manufacturers' World Championship-winning car."
In addition to a new car, the 2007 campaign will see a new crew competing alongside 2004 and 2005 World Champions Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena, since Guy Fréquelin has announced that Spaniards Dani Sordo and Marc Marti – Junior World Rally Champions in 2005 with the Citroën C2 Super 1600 – have been chosen to help the brand rise to this new challenge.
