.... on Wales Rally GB assault

Tony Jardine’s new rally team will be mentored by former World Rally co-driver Nicky Grist, at Silverstone on Wednesday (20 September), when the TV broadcaster will be announcing a number of exciting new partnerships for his assault on this year’s Wales Rally GB (1-3 December) – Britain’s only round of the FIA World Rally Championship.

Silverstone’s Drive centre and rally stage will provide both the setting for the launch and a link to Jardine’s new association with a works team, details of which will be announced on Wednesday.

The team will also be confirming a major national media partner for a series of rallies leading up to, and including, this year’s Wales Rally GB, plus the national journalist who will be taking the co-driver’s hot seat, and groomed for World Championship success by Grist – co-driver to both Colin McRae and Juha Kankkunen, during which time he won 21 world rallies (17 with McRae and 4 with Kankkunen).
