SUPER AGURI F1 TEAM joined the official Formula One test at the Silverstone Circuit, UK yesterdayday to commence its final preparations for the forthcoming flyaway races that mark the end of the 2006 season.

Sakon Yamamoto was in the driving seat of the SA06 today. He completed 36 laps in the morning whilst running through the team’s planned aerodynamics and electronics programmes. In the afternoon Sakon ran through a series of brake tests and commenced the team’s Bridgestone tyre programme. He completed a total number of 53 laps for the day and set a fastest lap time of 1:24.349.

Sakon will continue the testing duties this morning, whilst Takuma Sato will join the team at Silverstone in the afternoon.
