A Petite little thing…
One of the most evocative names in motorsport comes to the American Le Mans Series this week, as the racers take part in the Petit Le Mans race, round nine of the series. The event takes place on the Road Atlanta circuit in Georgia and is one that every team wants to win; class winners get an automatic entry to the following year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans. The 10-hour/1000 mile race is the cornerstone of the series and draws entries from all over the world. Motors TV will be showing the entire race live, for a full blow-by-blow account of the action.

Hit the road, track…
The Champ Car World Series takes to the Road America circuit for its 12th round. Championship leader Sebastien Bourdais was fastest at the recent official test and therefore has to be favourite for the race weekend. However, AJ Allmendinger and Justin Wilson will be looking to keep him off the top step of the podium, as they are both still in with a chance of the title, although it will be a tough fight. Motors TV has highlights of the 12th round at the picturesque Elkhart Lake circuit.

The World Series by Renault heads for Le Mans for its eighth and penultimate round, on the famous Bugatti circuit. Imola Opinion
The penultimate round of the World SuperBike Championship visits the Imola circuit in Italy. Troy Baylis has made all the running this year, with no less than ten race wins to his credit so far and a 100-point lead heading for the previous round at the Eurospeedway. But he hasn’t had it all his own way – there have been seven race winners this season, including on of the most recent, British rider Chris Walker. James Toseland and Noriyuki Haga are still enjoying a monumental battle for second, separated by just one point. Motors TV will have highlights of the SuperBike and SuperSport categories, as well as the SuperBike TV Mag programme.

A woman’s work…
This year’s Formula Woman race series, solely for women, began with the traditional Elimination Camp, where all 79 candidates underwent a series of tests to choose the 12 drivers who will actually take part in this year’s championship. The 12 were chosen on a combination of skills, including driving, technical knowledge, personality and marketability. The selections were made by founder Graeme Glew and Motors TV commentator Tim Harvey and Motors TV was there, recording the process.
