Greist, Rossi Win at Road America

At Road America supporting the Champ Car World Series, RevereGreist in severe wet and Alexander Rossi in perfect, dry conditions each won a round of the Skip Barber National Presented by RACER. Points leader Jonathan Goring had two conservative finishes – a sixth and a seventh – but with the other two title contenders, Marco Di Leo and Rossi, each not finishing one race apiece (they got together in both races), Goring remains atop the points with two races to go.

In race one, Greist led home Timmy Megenbier and Di Leo, while in race two Rossi took the lead on the last lap after Greist and Charles Anti crashed in the last corner on the last lap, giving second to Jonathan Gore and third to Mario Adrian Ochoa.

Now the Gang of Three – Goring, Di Leo, Rossi – head to the last two races, at Miller Motorsports Park, the weekend before Halloween. For two of them it’ll be a trick and for one, a treat, as the championship and its $100,000 title bonus won’t be decided until the final checker.
