Celebrate Le Mans

CELEBRATE LE MANS AT AUTOSPORT INTERNATIONAL GALA DINNER

The NEC in Birmingham will be brimming with nostalgia and the magic spell of Le Mans on 13&14 January 2007, as one of the most significant displays of Le Mans cars ever assembled will be reunited with their legendary drivers, at Autosport International. But it doesn’t stop there. The party will keep rolling into the night on Saturday 13 January with a spectacular Gala Dinner at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

In addition to the dazzling array of stunning Le Mans machines at the show, there will be more cars on display at the Gala Dinner, drivers to meet, a wonderful four-course dinner and a celebrity compère to bring the whole evening alive. The amazing package includes a room at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole with full breakfast, the four-course dinner and an entry ticket to Autosport International on either Saturday or Sunday, including a seat in the Live Action Arena, for just £149.00 per person.

Among the line-up of legendary drivers at the show and the dinner will be Allan McNish, who took the Le Mans 24-hour spoils in 1998 with Stephane Ortelli and Laurent Aiello in a Porsche 911 GT1. The 2005 third-placed Audi R8 driven by McNish, sister car to the 2005 race winning Audi R8, is just one of the cars already confirmed for the Le Mans feature.

Joining Allan will be David Brabham, winner of the 1993 GT Class in a Jaguar XJ220 and second overall in 2003 with Team Bentley, and Paddy Hopkirk, who made history in 1965 by finishing second in class and 11th overall in the MGB GT. Other invited drivers include Mark Blundell and Derek Bell, to name but a few.

A contribution from each ticket will be given to BEN, The Motor and Allied Trades Benevolent Fund, the only occupational charity for those who work or have worked in the automotive and related industries, including motorsport. The Le Mans feature is also proudly presented in association with Motor Sport magazine.

A limited number of Le Mans Gala Dinner tickets are available for this truly exclusive formal function, which offers the opportunity to dine with some of the racing heroes of Le Mans and share in their nostalgic stories and personal experiences of this historic race.

Motorsport fans from across the globe travelled to attend the 100 Years of Grand Prix Racing Gala Dinner at Autosport International 2006, where tickets sold out within two weeks of going on sale.
