Deniliquin races into the record books as the Ute capital of the world
Deniliquin again smashed the world record for the most Utes in one place, with this year's attendance of over 6,200 registered Utes.
Australian V8 Ute Racing was there to witness the scorching temperatures and even hotter entertainment with so much action it had to run over two days.
On September 29-30 dusty Deniliquin hosted the 'Play on the Plains' World Record Ute Muster which boasted wood chopping, whip cracking, tractor pulls, lawn mower races, bull riding concerts and a V8 Racing Ute display.
The five V8 Ute Racing drivers in attendance included Grove Juice Racing's Greg Willis, Melbourne's own current series leader Marcus Zukanovic, Four Seasons driver Andrew Flynn and "The Captain" Robert Jarvis alongside BVC racing team mate, multi award winning country artist Adam Brand.
The V8 Ute Racing site had seven Utes on display, two merchandise trucks, a very po! pular Four Seasons merchandise van and a V8 Ute Racing Simulator, but nothing drew crowds quite like the signing session by headline act Adam Brand.
"The festival is a whole lot different to the usual race meet, but it's always great to get amongst the fans and enjoy what the country has to offer" said Brand
Sage Racing Team Manager Andrew "Egg" Eglinton was also present to enjoy the typically Australian antics and fly his teams colours.
"I thought the rodeo was the hub for action, but when it comes to Bundy, Aussie larrikins and a whole lot of laughs the Ute paddock had it all" said Egg "there were some real stunners on display in the show and shine arena with street, feral and chick Ute categories just to name a few."
Before the dust has settled in Deni Australian V8 Ute Racing is revving the engines of 16 Ford BF Falcon XR8's and 16 Holden SS Commodores to prepare for the! Gold Coast's premier motorsport event, the Lexmark Indy 300.
Rising from the dust and wind of Deniliquin Australian V8 Racing Utes will stun a different fan base on the Gold Coast between October 19-22 where they will encounter the unforgiving closed corners and concrete walls of the exciting Surfers Paradise street circuit where carnage and excitement are both guaranteed.
