Silverstone finale for Team Eurotech

Mike Jordan and Team Eurotech will compete at Silverstone this weekend (14/15 October) in the final three rounds of the 2006 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.Having already finished on the podium three times this season, including winning at Mondello Park in the John Guest and Pirtek-supported Honda Integra, Jordan is aiming to retain a top ten position in the championship, but knows that he faces a tough day of racing as the BTCC entry reaches record levels. As many as 27 cars will be on the grid at Silverstone and with the overall title to be decided between Matt Neal and Jason Plato, it could be a day of high drama."It will be hugely close," predicts Mike of the racing on the 1.6-mile national circuit at Silverstone. "It will probably be the closest grid of the season and a few hundredths of a second could mean you plummet down the grid," he says. "I'm massively looking forward to it, but the racing on the national circuit could be a bit manic!"Jordan says that the ever-growing BTCC grid is testament to the current success of the championship. "Having a 27-car field for Silverstone is a great indication of what's to come next year; the BTCC is really on a roll. I can't believe how quickly the season has gone and it's a measure of how much the whole team has enjoyed the year that we wish it was starting all over again!"As usual, Sunday's BTCC action will have excellent TV coverage. On ITV1, an extensive programme on Sunday afternoon will carry the third race of the day live along with highlights from the opening two races. Meanwhile, the Motors TV channel will carry live coverage from Silverstone throughout Sunday's racing.
