with Welsh rally stars
Top Welsh rally drivers Gwyndaf Evans and Stuart Jones are joining forces with Britain’s leading house-builder Barratt Homes to stage a weekend of motorsport just weeks before the final round of the World Rally Championship – Wales Rally GB - arrives in Cardiff.
The drivers will be visiting four Barratt Homes developments in south Wales on October 28/29 with an SJR Hankook Mitsubishi rally car.
Gwyndaf, a former British Rally Champion, and 21 year old Stuart Jones are this year contesting the British Rally Championship which reaches its finale at the beginning of December in Wales Rally GB, a gruelling three day event which is also the final round of the World Rally Championship.
Barratt Homes sales director Adrian Bird said that with Wales Rally GB taking place in the region in December it made sense for the house-builder to join forces with the leading Welsh drivers contesting the event.
“Rallying is such a big part of life in South Wales and with the rally based in Cardiff and South Wales we are delighted to be able to have Gwyndaf and Stuart visit our developments with one of their rally cars,’’ said Adrian.
On Saturday October 28 Welsh rally legend Gwyndaf Evans and young hotshot Stuart Jones will be at Ty Glas Square in Llanishen, Cardiff and then at Coed Celynen in Abercarn with their SJR Hankook Mitsubishi rally car.
And on the Sunday the drivers will be at Parc Gellifaelog at Tonypandy and then at Park Illtyd in Church Village meeting Barratt Homes visitors and signing autographs.
In addition to meeting the drivers and seeing the rally car, visitors at the developments can also try their hand behind the wheel of specially constructed rally simulators.
