TO ATTEND LAGUNA SECA !
The tenth and final round of the US endurance racing championship, the American Le Mans Series, takes place a week on Saturday at the famous Californian circuit, Laguna Seca, CA. To celebrate the occasion, Motors TV will be sending the winner of a pan-European competition to the race for a 5-day VIP trip.
Laguna Seca marks the close of a spectacular season which has seen not only the sensational debut of the Audi R10 Diesel, but also the Porsche works team dominating in the LMP2 class, the awesome GT1 battles between Corvette and Aston Martin, as well as the epic Porsche versus Ferrari fights in the GT2 class.
To enter the competition, viewers of the ‘High Speed Television’ channel were asked to vote for their favourite drivers. German Frank Biela came out on top, ahead of Alan McNish (UK), Rinaldo Capello (Italy), Romain Dumas (France) and finally, Olivier Beretta (Monaco).
A winner was then selected at random from all Biela voters and offered the chance to enjoy the trip with a partner of their choice. A 30 year old French female won the competition and she and her husband will soon depart for Laguna Seca. Not only will they enjoy the race itself, but they will also be guests of honour at the end of season banquet as well as having the opportunity to meet Frank Biela himself and present him with a commemorative plaque.
ALMS Laguna Seca, LIVE on Saturday 21st October from 22h30.
