Stunner Skye on the cover of the 2007 Utes and Beauts V8 Supermodel Calendar V8 Utes in for a massive shot of glamour at the Lexmark Indy 300
For the first time ever at the Lexmark Indy 300, the highly popular Australian V8 Racing Utes will be supported by their very own glamorous grid girls when they line up for their third and final race.
The grid girls have all won their way to the event by entering the V8 Supermodel Search held in top entertainment venues all over Australia and New Zealand. The 14 international finalists have beaten more than 1000 hopefuls for the opportunity.
In addition to their official duties as grid girls for the V8 Utes, the finalists will also be taking part in a professional photo shoot for the 2008 Century Batteries V8 Utes & Beauts Calendar. The 2008 edition will follow the current and highly successful inaugural 2007 calendar currently on sale and will be on sale throughout Australia and New Zealand from July 2007.
In between the photo shoots and the grid work, the finalists can look forward to a fun-filled and busy week in Surfers Paradise with many official appearances including a number of functions hosted by the Official V8 Supermodel Headquarters Shooters Saloon Bar.
Shooters will host the Official Swimwear pre judging taking place on Thursday (26/10). The finalists' activity packed week will culminate with the V8 Supermodel International Final to be held on Sunday night (29/10) following all the high-octane on track action. The finalists will be vying for the coveted title of V8 Ute Gridgirl Of The Year as well as cash and prizes.
The judging panel will include high-profile V8 Ute Racing drivers such as current series leader Marcus "Mayhem" Zukanovic, Cleo's 2006 Bachelor of the Year Finalist Jack "The Hustler" Elsegood, and Gold Coast based talent Ryal "The Kid" Harris.
The girls can also be seen at the Coopers Party at Gilhooleys on Tuesday night, they will enjoy dinner at Soprano's Restaurant at Broadbeach on Wednsesday and the girls will go 10 pin bowling at Strike Bowling Bar on Friday night.
