The provisional race calendar for the 2007 Lloyds TSB Insurance British F3 International Series and the Avon Tyres British GT Championship has been announced, featuring the UK’s, and a selection of Europe’s, premier race venues.

The British F3 and British GT Championships’ will race together at eight UK venues, including MSV’s Brands Hatch (Grand Prix), Oulton Park and Snetterton circuits. Both Championships will visit Croft, a traditional firm favourite of the teams and drivers, and the Northamptonshire circuit of Rockingham, with British F3 returning after a four-year absence. Donington Park, Silverstone and Thruxton make up the remaining UK venues.

The Lloyds TSB Insurance British F3 International Series continues with the traditional 22-round, double header format, with three overseas events alongside the FIA GT Championship.  These will feature a spectacular street race in the Romanian capital Bucharest on May 20th, a welcome return to the home of the Italian GP Monza (Italy) on June 24th and a visit, once again, to the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium, alongside the prestigious Spa 24 Hours on July 29th.

The Avon Tyres British GT Championship will be contested over eight rounds. Donington and Silverstone will host single 2-hour races, and the remaining venues two, 60-minute races.

“We are pleased to announce our provisional calendar for 2007 which includes all of the leading circuits in England,” said SRO Chairman Stephane Ratel.  “The 2007 season will begin next Easter at MSV’s Oulton Park. After a very successful meeting in 2006, there is no better place to start.  We are particularly delighted at partnering the British F3 international races with key FIA GT Championship dates. Bucharest will be a stunning event; Monza and Spa we all know about.  The 2007 calendar represents a challenging set of venues for the teams and drivers in Britain’s premier single seater and sportscar championships.”
