SHOWDOWN AT WIMBLEDON STADIUM
Spedeworth South proudly hosts the biggest metal bending night of the year for the National Bangers with the 2006 Championship of the World at Wimbledon Stadium on Sunday, November 12TH at 5pm.
The 2006 World Championship is open to unlimited over 1800cc Bangers, allowing drivers to use the biggest and most powerful cars they can find, and draws the biggest names from the Banger racing world to Plough Lane for a showdown that is the undoubted highlight of the stock car season.
Armed with cars sporting paint jobs that would not be out of place on a show stopping custom car, the Banger racers unleash a night of automotive anarchy as they attempt to wrest the title from the current World Champion and destroy the opposition by racing and crashing their way around the circuit in their attempt to claim the most prestigious title in the Banger racing formula. The all-action Bangers will be joined by the 1300cc Stock Cars, to add some more fender bending action to a night of full contact racing.
The Banger World Final delivers a night’s action that blends high speed racing with outrageous crashes that bring smiles to the faces of the fans and the local scrap metal dealers as the drivers reduce their once pristine cars to smoking wrecks.
The Banger World Final sells out every year and anyone wishing to catch this unique blend of automotive racing and wrecking is urged to arrive at Wimbledon Stadium as early as possible as doors open at 3pm, with pre-race entertainment at 3.30 and racing starting promptly at 5pm.
