Fusion secures Grand-Am Game rights

Fusion Interactive announced an exclusive relationship with the Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series for worldwide rights to develop, publish and distribute Grand-Am-branded interactive racing games through 2009.

This agreement allows Fusion Interactive to create interactive games on a number of gaming platforms, including PCs and consoles, using Grand-Am properties. Fusion Interactive will release the first title, “Grand-Am Racing 07”, at the 2007 Rolex 24 At Daytona on Jan 27th. “Grand-Am Racing 07” will be released as a PC game for 2007 and then we will expand to the console platform in 2008.

“We are excited by the relationship with Grand-Am,” said Fusion Interactive CEO Dennis Bainbridge. “We believe in the product Grand-Am is putting on the track and look forward to helping them expand their fan base.”

“Grand-Am Racing 07 is also going to break new ground on online gaming, marketing and distribution,” added Bainbridge. “We have created a unique online marketing and distribution model that will allow the race teams and sponsors to participate in the revenues. Our online gaming will also have some unique features not found in any other game currently on the market.”

“As a series, we have been focused on expanding our market,” said Grand American President Roger Edmonson. “The gaming industry is a very important part of our overall growth strategy. Additionally, Fusion Interactive was a natural choice for us. Their background in our series as well as their technical and management abilities will help Grand-Am reach its goals”
