in Le Castellet
Frédéric Vervisch was in Le Castellet on Wednesday to drive in a Formula Renault 3.5 car of the Italian team GD Racing. The Indian Karun Chandhok (Azian Renault V6 champion) drove in the morning session in Frédérics car. When it was finally Frédérics turn, the engine broke.
“I could not drive until the afternoon, because Renault decided to let the champions of her own classes drive until noon instead of 10h30. I was relieved when I could start testing the car at 14h. But in the second warming up lap, the engine of the car broke. Later, the team found out a valve was broken”, the 20 year old Belgian drive explained after the test.
“Of course I’m disappointed as I didn’t have a chance to prove myself. The team proposed to have another test on november 29th or 30th in Valencia”, Fred said. “GD gives me another chance and I will do my best to not disappoint my team, sponsors, fans and family. I also wish to thank Isomo for their long lasting support, as well as all the other sponsors who made this test possible.”
Next rendezvous will be at Valencia on november 29th or 30th.
