Super Heroes
The 2006 World Superbike season was one to remember, with no less than eight riders winning races and all five global manufacturers also taking at least one victory. But it was Australian Troy Bayliss who stood head and shoulders above the other riders, with a dozen race wins on his way to the title. However, behind him, the series went down to the wire at Magny Cours in France, with the remaining positions still to be decided. Motors TV reviews the full WSBK season over the course of a pair of two-hour specials.

Busch babies
The final round of this year’s NASCAR Busch series takes place at the Homestead Speedway in Miami. And what a season it’s been. Kevin Harvick is already the 2006 Champion, having taking an outstanding eight race wins, with two races still to run. This year also saw the debut in the series of former Formula One driver, Juan-Pablo Montoya. It’s still not known if Montoya will race in Miami but regardless, the 1.5-mile oval track with 80,000 spectators, is sure to be a fitting wave goodbye to an exciting season. Control F3
As this year’s British F3 Championship come to an end, it’s time to look back at the highs and lows and track the journey of the eventual champion over the season. British F3 is widely regarded as a crucial stepping stone for drivers looking for a career as a professional driver. As it transpired, Mike Conway took the overall honours, with ten race wins from the 20 starts, an achievement that hadn’t been claimed by a British driver for four years. The season took the drivers around the UK, as well as to the street of Pau, the awesome Spa in Belgium and the famous Mugello circuit in Italy.

Touring stars
This year’s British Touring Car Championship turned out to be an absolute classic. SEAT and Vauxhall going head-to-head for the manufacturer’s title, the return of two MGs with the RAC team, Team Halfords’ Matt Neal back as defending champion, SEAT’s Jason Plato wanting the crown and the debut of Le Mans driver Darren Turner in the series. The season saw some exceptional action, a few scraps and both manufacturer and driver titles go down to the final round at Silverstone. Motors TV is reviewing the full season in two parts.

Dubai or not Dubai
The last round of the 2006 FIA GT Championship will see the runners-up positions on both the GT1 and GT2 category decided, after the title n each class was decided at the previous round at Adria. Motors TV is showing highlights of the final round for the outstanding Dubai Autodrome circuit.

Roads and tracks
The AMA Supermoto series hit Detroit in Michigan in the summer, bringing this incredible sport to the area for the first time. Not only was the series on hand, motocross legend and 2006 American Rally Champion Travis Pastrana was taking part on the road-racing circuit at Waterford Hills. Motors TV has highlights of the racing action from Motor City.

Bahrain power
The penultimate round of this year’s Australian V8 Supercar series makes the longest journey in its history – almost 12,000Kms to the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain. Around 100 tonnes of Supercars and support equipment will make the journey from Australia to the Middle East. The sport’s popularity means that more than 2000 Australian race fans have also already booked to make the trip to see the series’ first visit to the fantastic circuit, usually frequented by Formula One. Motors TV will be showing all three races live from Bahrain for the full action.
