Last week saw the first ever run of our newest demonstration car, a Nissan Skyline R33 GTR - Pro Drag,

The car is named : Fuujin which translated from Japanese means ' God of Wind '

We took the car to Santa Pod Raceway which is the UK's FIA drag strip. After some initial system tests and with Andy Barnes driving, the car recorded a time of 9.23 @ 149mph on its first ever visit to the track and fresh from being built at Sumo.

Using the new Toyo Tires DRR1 Drag Slick we also managed to record a 1.38 60ft time without making any serious adjustments to the settings on the car proving that Toyo have once again provided us with a tyre suitable for our needs.

All runs during this test session were done using only 1.7 bar of boost from our HKS T51 Kai turbo with is only 700bhp proving that our superlightweight chassis is working very well. The runs were also done using the manual HKS gearbox for testing which will now been changed for the drag-specific HKS Airshift gearbox now that the car has seen a successful test.

Unfortunately the weather conditions in the UK forbid us from running the car once more this year therefore we will now make further changes to our setup in preparation for our 2007 season which starts in February at which time we will begin to run the car and lower the times much more.
