Frédéric Vervisch: “The test on the Nürburgring was very educating. Ho-Pin Tung, this years German champion, was at this test too and drove about 40 laps so we could compare his telemetry data with mine. At the end of the day I was only eight tenths of a second slower than him. I talked with my engineer about the things I have still to improve.”

Michiel Gommers, engineer: “The cold temperatures had an impact on all the F3 cars at this test. They were all about three seconds slower than normal. Anyway, it was a good test as we could continue or work from Zandvoort. Frédéric was faster than Ho-Pin in some corners, but in other corners, he lost precious tenths. That is what we have to work on, so he can be at least as fast as Ho-Pin or even quicker. Because of a crack in the cars transmission we finished the test earlier than planned.”
