Renault MSA Young Motor Sport Journalist & Photographer of the Year 2006

There is now less than a week to go before the entry deadline for the fifth Renault MSA Young Motor Sport Journalist and Photographer of the Year awards closes. Two winners will each receive a cheque for £1,000.

Established by UK motor sport’s governing body, the Motor Sports Association, in 2002 with support from Renault UK Limited, the awards are designed to recognise and encourage the new generation of media working in four-wheeled UK motor sport, whether it be car racing, rallying, trials, autotest, hillclimb, karting, off-road, drag, sprint or rallycross competition.

All entries received by this Friday 1 December will be carefully considered by a panel of recognised experts from the sport and media. From there, the two winners will be invited to the MSA’s star-studded Night of Champions ceremony – attended by every champion in British motor sport in 2006 – to receive their cheques and a trophy. The prestigious award means the winners’ names are recognised as emerging talents in the world of motor sport media.

To enter, candidates must have been aged 25 or under on 1 January 2006 and be able to demonstrate published work involving UK motor sport. They can come from local, regional, specialist or electronic media and are required to submit a minimum of three published articles or photographs from the UK media this year.
