MOTORING MADNESS ON SATURDAYS !
Cold and grey in January? Sad that Christmas and New Year celebrations are just fading memories? This is certainly not the case on Motors TV with some amazing Saturday night line-ups.
European Drag Championship: certified by the FIA, the European dragster championship proves that this discipline of motorsport can cross the Atlantic without loosing its spirit! Amazingly this US-born, European-adopted spectacle has gone on to inherit a very Scandinavian flavour! With the Swedes and Danes amongst the best in Europe, the competing Brits have their work well and truly cut out.
With action on both two wheels and four, all the usual classes will be competing: Top Fuel, Modified, Top Alcohol and so on. Drag racing drama is sure to heat up those long, cold, winter nights.
Every Saturday from 22:00.
IHBA Drag Boat: back to the US but still navigating the waters of dragster racing, these IHBA Drag Boats are capable of boiling water and scaring more than a few fish.
Every Saturday from 22:30.
IFMXF: with impressive freestyle riders endlessly pushing their own limits and those of gravity year after year, it’s not difficult to become a fan of this spectacular sport. The back flip is the most famous jump in the discipline, but it is by no means the most spectacular one as the crowds are wowed by these ever more inventive tricksters.
Every Saturday from 23:00.
CORR is back: as is fast becoming tradition, the Off Road Racing championship is back this winter. These amazing off road pick-ups, fitted with huge tyres and mighty suspension travel, are capable of mounting the toughest terrains while their drivers use the power of the growling V8 engines to engage in breath-taking battles, massive powers slides and even the occasional barrel roll! This year, Motors TV will cover the entire championship for the top class, CORR Pro.
Every Saturday from 21:00.
Autosport Show : the Birmingham-based Autosport Show is the most famous motor sport show in Europe. Motors TV will cover the entire event with star interviews and special features.
Part 1 Sunday 21st January from 22:00.
Part 2 Sunday 28th January from 22:00.
ONGOING…
The ice racing Andros trophy continues : once Christmas is over, ice racing in the French Alps is back in action. By mid-January three rounds would have taken place and three more, Isola 2000, Serre Chevalier and Lans En Vercors will remain. With its incredibly high quality field, the 2006-2007 Andros Trophy looks set to be a vintage year.

Serre Chevalier : Wednesday 24th January from 18:00.

AND FINALLY…
1, 2 and 3 Bourdais… Three titles in a row for Sébastien Bourdais in the Champ Car World Series is truly exceptional. This amazing Frenchman, now based in the US, driving for one of the best teams in the paddock, Newman-Haas, has become THE man to beat. Motors TV will honour this ‘success story’ with a dedicated show.
Wednesday 3rd January from 22:30.
Bruno Senna: he carries one of the most famous names in motor sport. His uncle is a god. Bruno Senna, nephew of Ayrton, now tries to make a first name for himself. Just as Ayrton did in his early career, Bruno has come to England to compete in this year’s British Formula 3 championship. Having tasted both success and failure, Motors TV takes a closer look at the guy who often used to beat his three-time World Champion uncle on their private karting track…
