WSR Zolder results reinstated

The FIA International Court of Appeal was in session on November 28 to examine the appeal by the Automobile Club d'Italia against the decision of the Belgian national Court of Appeal relating to race 1 at Zolder, on April 30, 2006. The Royal Automobile Club of Belgium's sports tribunal had met on July 25, 2006 to examine the appeals lodged by the Draco Multiracing USA and Eurointernational competitors after the Zolder meeting. The tribunal had overturned the race 1 results.

In compliance with the International Sporting Code, the competitors Draco Multiracing USA, RC Motorsport and Prema Powerteam Srl appealed this decision before the FIA International Court of Appeal.

At the end of this hearing on Tuesday November 28, the FIA Court of Appeal declared the appeals valid and overruled the decision of the Belgian national Court of Appeal.
