BRDC appoints new Club Secretary

The British Racing Drivers’ Club (BRDC) has announced the appointment of its new club secretary, 34-year-old Stuart Pringle.

Pringle’s  appointment  comes  following  the  departure  of  Roger  Lane-Nott  from  the secretarial post back in August after a seven-year tenure. Pringle brings to the BRDC a tremendous array of managerial skills, stemming from an  impressive  pedigree  in  motorsport.

He  held  the  position  of  Chief  Executive  and Secretary of the Vintage Sports Car Club (VSCC) from 2000-2005 before becoming Group  Motor  Sport  Events  Manager  for  MotorSport  Vision,  a  job  he  held  until recently. In the former role, Pringle was in charge of the day-to-day management of the VSCC, looking after the needs and interests of the 7,500 club members, while concurrently organising   and   managing   over   35   motorsport   events   per   year.

It   is   such responsibilities  that  will  enable  Pringle  to  excel  in  his  new  BRDC  role  and  help enhance the club’s sphere of activity into the future. Prior  to  his  motorsport  career,  Pringle  served  as  a  British  Army  Officer  in  the  1st Royal Tank Regiment from 1995 to 2000.

Chairman of the BRDC, Stuart Rolt, said of the announcement: “We are delighted to announce Stuart Pringle’s appointment as new BRDC Club Secretary. We had many competitive candidates but, in Stuart, we have opted for someone who we believe best fits  the  long  term  objectives  and  image  of  the  club  and  whose  expertise  and credentials can take the club forward.

His success and experience at the VSCC will be of particular value to our club as Stuart has proven himself to be an efficient manager of  budgets,  resource  and,  most  importantly,  people  in  a  club  capacity.  We  look forward to Stuart taking up his post on 1 December.”
