The first racing Jaguar from Buckingham based Apex Motorsport was spotted outside the famous Bibendum restaurant in Fulham Road London on 7th December.
The occasion was the Top Gear Awards where Jaguar scooped two prestigious awards – one for best GT car and another for the hotly contested ‘Car of the Year’.
The car – which is due to be released in public early January – was brought in in a covered trailer and was whisked away whilst VIP motor industry guests were tucking in to their four course gourmet meal upstairs.
XK designer – Scot, Ian Callum – was feted by his peers with Jeremy Clarkson bestowing the top award of the evening shortly after Callum had received the Royal Designer for Industry (RDI) distinction the previous week.
Apex Motorsport will be working hard to meet the next deadline to produce the development car in time for the Autosport International show at the NEC on January 11th where it will be on the main stage for the duration of the show.
