Motors TV at Autosport show

Motors TV, Europe’s dedicated motorsport TV channel, will this week be exhibiting at Autosport International as Official TV Partner of the 2007 show.

Autosport International is the world’s premier motorsport exhibition, acting as the gateway to a brand new season of motor racing action and Motors TV will be there to provide exclusive coverage of the event. In two special programmes, showing on Sunday 21st and Sunday 28th January, Motors TV will get behind the scenes to bring viewers all the latest news from the NEC in Birmingham.

Motors TV holds the exclusive pan-European broadcast rights to the Le Mans 24 Hours and for the second successive year will be broadcasting more than 50 hours of live coverage from the greatest event on the motorsport calendar. It’s therefore appropriate that this year’s Autosport International show will see the legendary endurance race come to life.

The ‘Celebration of Le Mans’ feature will reunite the famous drivers with their famous cars, tracing the history of this mythical race from its very beginnings in 1923.

Bentley, Alfa Romeo, Bugatti, Ferrari, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Porsche, Matra, Renault, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi have gone down in the annals of Le Mans history and the show will recreate the landmarks of the circuit, bringing together a spectacular display of these very special cars and their now legendary drivers.

Autosport International is also one of the very few events in the motor racing world where fans can get close to their favourite drivers and other motorsport celebrities.  Allan McNish, Andy Priaulx, Christian Danner, Damon Hill, David Brabham, Derek Bell, Derek Warwick, Gary Paffett, Jason Plato, John Watson, Johnny Herbert, Matt Neal, Takuma Sato, Tom Kristensen, to name but a few, should all be present at the show.

Situated within the largest hall of the NEC, the indoor racing track with its own paddock area and its 5500-seat grandstand will also allow the public to see an array of motor racing action.

The show opens to industry professionals on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th and to the public on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th January.
