Motors TV April Highlights

Channel 413 on Sky Digital and 545 on NTL/Telewest

DURABILITY AND FLAMBOYANCE!

April will be marked by two events which are practically polar opposites of one another; the launch of the 2007 Le Mans Series (LMS) and our brand new show, M80, focused on the world of freestyle motorcross. On one hand endurance and on the other flamboyance!

LMS Monza: Peugeot is back

It’s no secret that, after several years in the World Rally Championship, Peugeot’s motorsport allegiance is back with endurance racing, a discipline in which they enjoyed huge success in the early 1990’s. The news is not only superb for the sport, but fantastic for the burgeoning Le Mans Series Championship.

As it enters its fourth year, the series is growing like no other. More than 50 cars are confirmed to take their places on a packed grid in 2007. The prospect of reigning double-champions Pescarlo Sport taking the challenge to Peugeot at the front of the field is a mouth watering prospect, but we’re guaranteed close racing right through the pack in the LMP1, LMP2, GT1 and GT2 classes. Motors TV is the channel of endurance sports car racing and in 2007 we will be bringing coverage from every event.

LMS Monza, Round One, Sunday 15th April. LIVE from 12:00 (pending confirmation from the race organisers).

Endurance racing encore!

Having watched the Le Mans series stars do battle at Monza, stay in your seats for Motors TV’s late-night coverage of the American Le Mans Series round in Long Beach in California. Motors TV’s coverage from Round Three of the ALMS begins on Sunday 15th at midnight.

ALMS, Third Round, Long Beach, Sunday 15th April LIVE from midnight.

ALMS, Fourth Round, Houston, Sunday 22nd April from 17:30.

Endurance Mag

Motors TV, the channel of endurance racing, offers a brand new meeting place for fans; Endurance Mag. The magazine programme will take you back stage at every round of the American Le Mans Series and Le Mans Series, previewing every race on the Tuesday before the event.

Endurance Mag, Le Mans Series review, Tuesday 3rd April, 21:00.

Endurance Mag, Long Beach preview, 10th April, 21:00.

Endurance Mag, Houston preview Tuesday 17th April, 21:00.

DTM

For the fifth year in succession Motors TV will broadcast Live and Exclusive coverage of the world’s most prestigious Touring Car championship – the DTM. Audi take on Mercedes with drivers such as double Formula One world champion Mika Häkkinen and seven times Le Mans 24 Hours winner Tom Kristensen on Europe’s most famous circuits. This is the incredible DTM programme which continues to see not-to-be-missed action played out in front of packed crowds both trackside and on TV.

DTM, Hockenheim, Round One, LIVE, Sunday 22 April, 12:45.

M80 Fuel TV: Freestyle series

Their appearance may make them look more like surfers or snowboarders, but give these guys a motorbike and expect some motorised fireworks!! This series of programmes showcases the very best of Freestyle Motorcross action, whose riders, with their back-flips and outlandish tricks make them more akin to stuntmen then sportsmen! M80 Fuel TV joins the Motors TV schedule each Wednesday from 4th April at 20:30.

NOT TO BE MISSED
