Tom Pryce remembered at Anglesey
One of the finest racing drivers ever to come from Wales will be remembered at the new Anglesey circuit, when the rebuilt track opens for racing in May.'Tom Pryce Straight' will be a permanent fixture at the circuit in honour of the gifted racer from Ruthin, who had a meteoric rise to Formula 1, only to lose his life in an accident in South Africa in 1977.Now, as the 30th anniversary of Tom's death is reached on Monday 5 March, a section of the new track has been named in memory of this quiet and unassuming driver, who was born and bred in North Wales.Ruthin Town Council is currently seeking public donations towards the creation of a permanent memorial to Tom in his home town.
