SUPER AGURI F1 TEAM concluded its final pre-season test at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir yesterday. It was an unfortunate end to the test with the Team packing up after lunch when the monocoque sustained irreparable kerb damage. However the all of the major test items had already been covered.
Takuma Sato
“It was another productive test for us. We tried various set-ups and made good progress and improvements. The first 2 days here were quite windy, so it was difficult to do our planned aero tests. But this morning the conditions improved and we were able to complete a lot of aero work and collected a lot of data for our Melbourne package. We still have a lot of work to do, but we have completed some good preparation work and have a good understanding of the Bridgestone Potenza tyres.”
Graham Taylor, Sporting Director
“With this being our final test prior to the first 2007 race it was important to ensure that Takuma enjoyed the balance of his car and his Engineers understand how to maximise the benefit of the Bridgestone Potenza tyre. I am satisfied that this was achieved. Additionally a number of Aero developments were analysed prior to the launch of our 2007 car. Super Aguri again benefited from Honda Engines performance and reliability."
