Hankook’s tyres convincing in tests thanks to their many talents
The “Stiftung Warentest” compares summer types – Hankook captivates with its Ventus Prime K105 and Optimo K715 thanks to the best degree of environmental compatibility. The Centum H 720 also achieves an excellent result in a test by the magazine “Gute Fahrt” (= “Good Journey”).
The summer tyre models Ventus Prime K105 and Optimo K715 from the international tyre manufacturer Hankook were awarded the grade of “good” in this year’s summer tyre comparison carried out by “Stiftung Warentest”.
A total of 15 types of tyres were examined by "Stiftung Warentest" in its most recent comparison test. Of the types inspected in the size category 155/70 R13 Hankook’s Optimo K715, which is particularly resilient against wear and tear, achieved second place and was awarded the overall grade of “good” (2.2). Alongside positive marks on both dry and wet surfaces, the Optimo also excelled with the most environmentally friendly characteristics of all the tyres tested: Wear and tear very good, and the Optimo has the lowest percentage of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) of all the tyres tested.High-performance and environmentally compatible – the Optimo K715 and the Ventus Prime K105“This good result makes us proud and strengthens us in our strategy of being present upon the market with qualitatively high-value products at fair prices. In the test of the category 205/55 R16 V for middle-range vehicles Hankook was represented by the Ventus Prime K105. This tyre was also awarded the overall grade of “Good” (2.4) by “Stiftung Warentest” and thus occupied 5th place in a field of 16 tested tyres. The Ventus Prime K105 made a strong impression on both wet and dry road surfaces. Just like the Optimo K715 the Ventus Prime K105 also had the lowest PAH-value of all tyres tested.
Hankook’s Centum H 720 was tested in the all-weather tyre test of the automobile magazine “Gute Fahrt”. Of the eight tyres tested the Centum was assessed as third best and awarded the overall mark of “good.” The testers were thrilled with the balanced handling of the tyre, which was able to convince through being “uniform in its steering on both wet and dry road surfaces”. And also on slippery surfaces the Centum revealed good traction capabilities. Both the rolling resistance and the noise from the tyres were adjudged “very good.” These many positive characteristics led to “Gute Fahrt” recommending purchasing the Centum.Convincing All-Weather-Specialist – the Centum H 720
With these latest test results from „Stiftung Warentest“ and the magazine „Gute Fahrt“ plus the extremely positive assessment of Hankook’s products by the ADAC Hankook can already look back upon a most successful start to the tyre testing season 2007.
