Jordan ready for BTCC season

Mike Jordan will start the 2007 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch (Kent) over the weekend of March 31/April 1 and is eager to get racing after a busy winter's work. The signs for the coming 10-weekend, 30-race season are very good and Jordan's Team Eurotech Honda Integra ran second fastest overall during the recent pre-season BTCC test day at Rockingham. Only the Vauxhall Vectra of Fabrizio Giovanardi lapped faster during the only major group test session ahead of the new season. The John Guest Speedfit-backed Honda is likely to rival the cars from the big four teams as the season begins on the 1.2-mile Indy circuit at Brands Hatch. With 26 cars entered and a number of BTCC newcomers in the field, getting a clear lap in qualifying will be enormously important."I can't wait to get stuck in," says Jordan. "We've had our learning year and now it's time to get our sleeves rolled up. The car is sitting there ready to go and I can't wait to get on with it. "It's been a long winter and now I just want to get out there and get racing!"Live coverage of Sunday's races at Brands will be available on the Setanta satellite programme, while highlights will be broadcast on ITV1.
