Jordan set for BTCC Rockingham
Mike Jordan is pitching for a visit to the podium in the next three races of the 2007 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Rockingham (Northamptonshire) this weekend (April 21/22).Jordan is expecting to be close to the overall pace at the spectacular venue, having run second fastest during the pre-season BTCC test day at Rockingham in March.Only the Vauxhall Vectra of Fabrizio Giovanardi lapped faster than the Team Eurotech Honda Integra that day, although some of the other leading teams were not ready to run new cars. Now, the John Guest Speedfit-backed Honda is set to rival the cars from the big four teams as the BTCC returns to Rockingham after a four-year gap.Live coverage of all of Sunday's races at Rockingham will be available on the Setanta Sports 2 satellite programme. The third race of the day will also be broadcast live on ITV3 from 4pm to 5.30pm. Highlights will run on ITV1 at 1.30am on Monday 23 April, and on Men & Motors from 7.30pm to 8.05pm on Friday 27 April. At the same event, Andrew Jordan will contest the second round of the Renault Elf Clio Cup, having finished a superb second overall at Brands Hatch in the opening round."We've tested there twice and it's gone very well," said Andrew. "I'm hoping for a top six finish as I really want to finish and get more experience. I think we've got a good set up for Rockingham and I'm really looking forward to it."
