SHELL CELEBRATES 60 YEARS OF SHARED FERRARI PASSION WITH WORLDWIDE FERRARI RELAY TOUR
To celebrate 60 years of shared passion with Ferrari, Shell is delighted to announce its performance fuel, Shell V-Power, as the official fuel of the Ferrari 60th Anniversary Relay Tour.
The worldwide Relay Tour which sees about 10,000 Ferrari owners and their vehicles of all ages touring 50 countries across five continents, kicked off in Abu Dhabi on 29th January and culminates on 23rd June 2007 in Maranello, Italy, home of Ferrari.
The UK leg of the tour saw over 10 Ferraris drive through Northern Ireland and Scotland before heading south to Silverstone via Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham and London. During the final leg – from London to Silverstone – private Ferrari enthusiasts were invited to join the tour, with over 50 taking part. Throughout the UK leg, the cars refuelled with Shell V-Power, Shell’s premium gasoline.
This vast relay provides the ultimate showcase for Shell V-Power, demonstrating the power and performance it was designed to help deliver, and borne out of 60 years of shared passion for performance with Ferrari. The result is a fuel for customers who understand that not all fuels are the same.

Instrumental to Shell V-Power’s development has been the long term, technical partnership forged between Shell and Ferrari across the Grand Prix circuits of the world. At each race, the Shell ‘Track Lab’ provides Shell scientists with a unique cutting-edge mobile laboratory enabling fuels to be monitored and tested under the most severe conditions. This development on the racetrack is then fed back into Shell’s road fuel development programmes to benefit the everyday motorist.
