Callum Macleod heads FF Championship after a further brace of wins
With a string of Championships and race victories already to his name, 19 year-old Callum Macleod from Northampton looks set to continue to climb the motor sport ladder, after another two wins puts him firmly at the head of the National Formula Ford Championship.
Callum, who races for Jamun Racing and is supported by leading Italian style accessory brand MOMO, conquered Donington Park to win both Championship races after starting on pole on each occasion. He also registered the fastest lap in both races.
It was an impressive repeat performance for the former double karting champion, who took an early season lead at the opening round of the series at Oulton Park two weeks previously, with an emphatic victory in his Mygale Formula Ford.
However, there’s little time for Callum to celebrate, as he shapes up for the next Championship round, on 27/29 April at Brands Hatch. Significantly, the circuit plays host this weekend to the final round A1 GP World Cup of Motorsport 2006/7, and so for Callum its the opportunity to impress in front of a biggest crowd of the year at the famous Kent circuit, and continue in his ambition to get right to the top.
