One Week in Le Mans - Channel 413 on Sky Digital and 545 on Virgin Media
Last year Motors TV set new standards with its coverage of the most prestigious motor race in the world; the famous Le Mans 24 Hours.
In 2007, the ‘High Speed Television’ Network will push boundaries even further to bring nearly 50 hours of live coverage throughout race week to viewers across Europe. From scrutineering on Monday 11th June until the race the following weekend, Motors TV will be there to make sure fans don’t miss a thing.
Whenever a key event occurs, Motors TV will be on air to relay the stories as they happen whilst capturing the unique ambience of the 24 Hours. After scrutineering on Monday and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday brings the suspense of qualifying and the first direct confrontation between the Audi R10, last year’s winner, and the all-new Peugeot 908 HDI, victorious in its first race in the Le Mans Series.
The duel will be joined in the LMP1 category by Pescarolo Sport, second at Le Mans in 2006, whilst we shouldn’t discount Courage or Lola. The drivers’ parade, which takes place in the town centre of Le Mans in front of several tens of thousand of spectators, will be featured live on Friday afternoon. Then, on Saturday morning at 8am, the race build up begins with live coverage throughout the day (and night!) until the expected finish at 2pm on Sunday afternoon.
Thanks to the experience gained in 2006, Motors TV’s team of journalists, commentators, cameramen and crew will be ready to ensure the highest quality coverage of what is an exceptional event.
The quality of coverage will improve again this year with loads of on board camera shots and other cutting-edge technical advances.
Since the beginning of the 2007 season, with its superb coverage of every race of the Le Mans Series and the American Le Mans Series, and also the creation of ‘Endurance Mag’, a brand new magazine show dedicated to endurance racing, Motors TV has re-affirmed its status as the channel of this most unique of motorsport discipline.
