Le Mans Moto
The Le Mans 24 Hours may be the most famous motor race in the world, but did you know that there’s a two-wheeled version of the race as well? The 30th edition of the ‘24 Heures du Mans Moto’ will see a huge grid of Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Honda, MV Agusta, Kawasaki, BMW and Ducati bikes, each with teams of three or four riders, do battle around the clock at the famous French circuit. Round 2 of Europe’s premier touring car category takes place at the tight 3.6km track near Magdeburg as the Audi v Mercedes battle gathers pace following the season opener at Hockenheim. Briton Gary Paffett won here in 2005 but can he spring a surprise in year-old machinery and repeat that feat against the likes of Bernd Schneider, Mika Hakkinen and Tom Kristensen?
