A race weekend to cross off for Susie

In the DTM’s second round of the season at Oschersleben Susie Stoddart experienced a difficult race weekend. But after fair to middling practice sessions and 19th place on the starting grid, the scotswoman in her 2005-spec TV Spielfilm AMG Mercedes C-Class did manage to move forward to 16th place. Susie was disappointed: “That was a difficult race for me in which I never found my rhythm.“ The race is water under the bridge now, her sights are set forwards to the round at the EuroSpeedway weekend after next.

Susie promotes the race at Brands Hatch

On 10 June, it’s time for Susie Stoddard’s home race at Brands Hatch. This Wednesday the Mercedes racer is visiting the circuit southeast of London to beat the drum for the DTM round in Great Britain: Together with her fellow British drivers Jamie Green, Oschersleben winner Gary Paffett and Paul di Resta she will bring some of the fascination of the DTM to media representatives in the U.K. In addition to press talks, rides in the Mercedes DTM racing taxi are on the agenda. “Of course the race at Brands Hatch is a highlight of the season for me. That’s why it’s great for us to have the chance of presenting the DTM beforehand and to hopefully attract many fans,“ says Susie.

Susie takes off at the Berlin airport

An unusual location has been selected for the press conference next Saturday before the next DTM race at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz (20 May): Journalists and racers will be meeting on the runway of Tempelhof Airport in the centre of Berlin. Representing Mercedes-Benz, Susie Stoddart will be part of the action. After press talks and interviews, driving demonstrations on the airfield of Berlin’s oldest airport that has provided the backdrop for numerous famous films are planned.
