Ultimate to debut in F3 Euroseries

BRITISH FORMULA THREE TEAM ULTIMATE MOTORSPORT WILL JOIN FORMULA ONE'S SUPPORT BILL NEXT MONTH AFTER CONFIRMING THEY WILL MAKE THEIR F3 EUROSERIES DEBUT DURING THE FRENCH GRAND PRIX WEEKEND AT MAGNY-COURS. The team made their motorsport debut in the British F3 Series in March and their drivers, Michael Devaney and Esteban Guerrieri, will now join the Euroseries field for two races on the home track of their French car manufacturer Mygale on June 30 and July 1. Team Owner Barry Walsh said: "We always planned to move fast and this is another step in our long-term plans. We are looking forward to joining the Euroseries for this event at Magny-Cours and it will be great to be on the same bill as the pinnacle of motorsport. "Our debut season in British F3 has improved step-by-step and after scoring points early in the season we are starting to establish ourselves as a team as we continue to develop the car and the team spirit."We want to fast-track Ultimate Motorsport up the motorsport ladder and while it is crucial to continue establishing ourselves in the UK series we are confident the team will gain a huge amount of knowledge and experience from our appearance in this round of the Euroseries. "We know it will be a real challenge, particularly as it takes place just one week after the Monza round of the British F3 series, but we intend to put up a good showing on Mygale's home soil."The move marks the latest step in the rapid progression of the team, which was set up last October and launched with support from former Formula One driver Damon Hill at the Silverstone British Racing Drivers' Club in February. The team entered F3 with a previously un-raced Mygale chassis coupled with the championship-winning Mercedes engine in a bid to take on the Dallara dominance of the series. They will be the only Mygale runner in the Euroseries field.
