David and Godfrey Jones scored a superb podium finish in their Team Eurotech Ascari KZ1 in the Avon British GT Championship round at Snetterton  (Sunday 3 June).The Preci-Spark livered KZ1 took second place in the two-hour race after a superb performance from the drivers and a great team effort in the pits. It was the best result to date in 2007 for the Jones brothers.Their result put Team Eurotech onto the podium in both the British Touring Car Championship and the British GT Championship on the same day, with Mike Jordan running at the very front of the BTCC at Croft."That's a great result for the team," said team owner Jordan. "To be on the podium for BTCC and British GT on the same day is a fabulous achievement. David and Godfrey put in an outstanding performance and it was a great team effort. With BTCC and British GT on the same weekend, our resources were split, but with the support of some of the Ascari crew at Snetterton it worked out very well."However, Jordan reckons it should have been a victory rather than second place. "As a team, we were really pleased with second. But we were very frustrated because it should have been a win, as the leading car didn't adhere to pit-stop refuelling rules."
