The 79-year-old Briton had Head of Audi Motorsport Dr Wolfgang Ullrich explain an Audi A4 DTM to him and also met Audi factory driver Tom Kristensen. Hot seat instead of cold ice: The two ice hockey pros Michael Waginger and Thomas Jörg from ERC Ingolstadt visited Mattias Ekström at the Norisring. The two ice hockey aces reciprocated a visit which the Swedish Audi factory driver had paid to the ERCI in March – at that time, Ekström had participated in one of the team’s practice sessions. In return, Waginger and Jörg experienced the DTM from the "hot seat" in a racing taxi. Other prominent guests visiting Audi and Audi Team Abt Sportsline in Nuremberg included FC Bayern München Chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge as well as Michael Henke, co-trainer of FC Bayern München, and actress Gundis Zambo.For a photo shooting with Audi factory driver Martin Tomczyk, the four members of the pop group No Angels visited the team garages of Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline at the Norisring prior to the start of the race on Sunday.Frank Biela, Emanuele Pirro and Marco Werner, who clinched the seventh victory for Audi in the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans last weekend, visited their DTM colleagues in Nuremberg. As part of the pre-race programme on Sunday, Biela drove a few demonstration laps with the Audi R10 TDI at the Norisring.Marco Werner, as well, was "on duty" at the Norisring: Hhe drove one of the two Audi A4 DTM racing taxis. The second racing taxi was piloted by Formula 1 test driver Markus Winkelhock. The most prominent guest in the passenger’s seat of the Audi A4 DTM racing taxi at the Norisring was Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. One week after his fifth Le Mans victory, Audi factory driver Frank Biela was on the podium again, albeit in an unusual role: This time, the former DTM Champion was not a recipient but the presenter of the trophies at the podium ceremony for the ADAC Volkswagen Polo Cup winners at the Norisring.Back-to-back commitments for Frank Biela: The Le Mans winner came to the Norisring directly from the "Danube Classic" at Ingolstadt. There, Biela – together with his daughter Isabell – drove a 1939 Horch 930 V. Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Board of AUDI AG, and his Board colleagues Michael Dick and Frank Dreves participated in the vintage car rally as well. Despite his participation in the "Danube Classic", Michael Dick made sure that he arrived at Nuremberg in time to keep his fingers crossed for the Audi team. As Member of the Board for Technical Development at AUDI AG Michael Dick is the direct superior of Head of Audi Motorsport Dr Wolfgang Ullrich. Also present at the Norisring were Prof Dr Martin Winterkorn, Chairman of the Board of Volkswagen AG, and bis Board colleague Jochem Heizmann.
Timo Scheider welcomed Silvia Hauten in Nuremberg as a visitor to whose popularity he had personally contributed: The Audi factory driver was one of the ten members of a jury that elected Silvia Hauten from a group of 20 contenders as Miss Tuning 2007 in Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance in early May.
