Jarvis to race in Carrera Cup
Jarvis to race in Carrera Cup at Donington ParkOliver Jarvis, one of Britain's leading single-seater stars, will make his Porsche Carrera Cup GB debut at Donington Park this weekend (14/15 July) in rounds eleven and twelve of the championship. Jarvis will race the Porsche Motorsport entry as part of the strong links between the Carrera Cup GB and the McLaren/Autosport/BRDC Young Driver Award. The 23-year old Cambridge racer won the prestigious award in 2005 and went on to finish runner-up in the 2006 British F3 International Series.Currently, Jarvis is living and racing in Japan as he contests the All Japan F3 Series. Prior to last weekend's races he was lying second in the points' standings. He is also one of Britain's drivers in the A1 GP World Cup of Motorsport and took the team to victory in Mexico over the winter. Jarvis started karting at the age of eight and will return from Japan to make his Porsche racing debut. He will test the Carrera Cup car on Thursday (12 July) at Donington Park ahead of the weekend's pair of races.
