Truck racing heads to Great & British
The Dunlop Great & British Festivals heads to Thruxton for a thrilling weekend of race action on 21 & 22 July.For a second thrilling year, the Dunlop Great & British Festivals will be at Thruxton and the UK’s biggest supported one make series will form the core of the action at the event. Alongside the core ‘Great & British’ Championships of the Dunlop Radical EnDuro, the Dunlop Radical BiDuro and the MINI Challenge, will be the British and International Truck Racing Championships. Over twenty race trucks are expected to take the grid at Thruxton for what has become the showcase of truck racing in the UK. At the Dunlop Great & British Festivals, British truck teams will be joined by many European entrants who are competing for the International Cup.During the lunchbreak, these thundering vehicles will hit the track offering spectators a fantastic parade of trucks from across the UK and Europe. At the Dunlop Great & British Festival event at Thruxton, race fans can get closer to the action and will be given the chance to do a ‘grid walk’ and stroll around the pit lane. The MINI Challenge will see some familiar faces making their returning to the series, including the championship winner of 2005, Arthur Foster, who will be racing in the S-class at Thruxton and joining him in a guest appearance, will be Carl Bradley who won many races in 2006.In addition, the Dunlop Radical Enduro series introduces David Leslie, who previously raced in the British Touring Car Championship in the 90’s and will be partnering Steve Jones in an SR8 for the remaining rounds in 2007.
