Euroseries 3000 Brazilian 1-2

NUNES (MIINARDI/GP RACING) FIRST, RAZIA (FMS) SECOND.

GREAT COMEBACK FOR DANIELSSON, THIRD AHEAD OF THE LEADER RIGON

Race 2 of the Euroseries 3000 in Magny-Cours was dominated by Brazilian drivers. Diego Nunes(Minardi/GP Racing) obtained his first win in the championship, beating his fellow countrymanLuiz Razia (Fisichella Motor Sport).

On the third spot of the podium, after a great comeback from the last row of the grid, came Alx Danielsson (Elk Motorsport).

Championship leader Davide Rigon (Minardi/GP Racing) had to be satisfied with the fourth place, mantaining his strong leadership in the standings.

The race was eventful and full of overtaking.  On the first laps poleman Omar Leal (Durango), led the race, but he was soon overtaken by Razia (FMS). On the fifth lap the leadership was taken at the Lycee corner by Nunes, who would never be overtaken again.

Danielsson was author of a great comeback to third spot of the podium, despite some understeering problems, he clocked the fastest lap of the race, had a great fight with Oliver Martini (RC Motorsport), after starting from the back after Saturday's accident. In the end, Alx overtook Martini at the Adelaide corner, taking the provisional fifth place. At two laps to go, Danielsson, again at Adelaide, managed to overtake Davide Rigon.

Points also for Jason Tahinci, fifth with the G-Tec car and Oliver Martini, sixth but with a gap of17 seconds from the leader.

In the standings, after six races with five different winners -  Rigon i first with 38 points, ahead of his team-mate Nunes with 32. Martini and Razia have 24 points each, while Danielsson is behind them with just a point gap.

In just one week, the drivers are going to race again in Mugello. The race will be again broadcastlive on Nuvolari TV.Diego Nunes (Minardi/GP Racing): “Great car and good start. I managed to stay focussedthroughout the race. I also did some overtaking at the right moment. I'm second in thechampionship behind my team-mate.”Luiz Razia (Fisichella Motor Sport): “I did a great start recovering some positions. Nunes wasfaster than me and I didn't risk too much, also because the pressure from behind was big.”

Alx Danielsson (Elk Motorsport): “Too bad for yesterday, when I had problems with the fuelpump. Today, despite the understeering, I managed to recover lots of positions. But I'm notsatisfied with my championship so far."
