Mike Jordan heads east
Mike Jordan and Team Eurotech will bid for a podium finish for the fifth weekend on the trot as the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship switches to the Snetterton circuit in Norfolk this weekend (28/29 July). The John Guest-backed Team Eurotech Honda Integra will head to Snetterton with Mike leading the BTCC Independents' Trophy, holding sixth place overall in the drivers' standings and aiming for yet more overall podium finishes."We've won two 24-hour races at Snetterton in the past, so we know the circuit very well," says Mike. "The Honda was good there last year and I think we'll be in reasonably good shape."Jordan has claimed podium finishes during each of the last four BTCC race weekends and is determined to extend that sequence to five. If the British weather continues to be poor, Mike is confident of being quick in the wet as well as the dry."Snetterton is very high speed and you've got to have respect for everyone down the back straight. We're pulling around 145mph down there. Coram is a big challenge and the Honda is particularly good through there, just a little bit of oversteer all the way through."With these touring cars, you've got to set it up as nervous as you can hang on to through the fast corners. If you have it comfortable, the front tyres will just be gone."Live coverage of all of Sunday's races at Snetterton will be available on the Setanta Sports satellite programme, starting from 9am. The third race of the day will be broadcast live on ITV1, during a 90-minute programme starting at 2.30pm. Please note that these times are provisional and are subject to change.
