SUPER AGURI F1 TEAM commenced its planned final three-day test before the mid-season break in August at the Jerez circuit. In the sizzling Spanish heat the primary focus of today’s test plan was to evaluate and understand the Bridgestone Potenza tyre options in hot conditions to prepare the team for the high temperatures usually experienced at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

James ran through initial set-up work and longer tyre runs on Day 1. He ended the day with the fourth fastest lap time of 1:21.682.
