Organised by the MBKC and held at the Three Sisters circuit near Wigan, the event pits the country’s budding Formula One stars against each other across eight highly competitive classes. Is the next Lewis Hamilton among the field? Tune in to find out.

Gold Cup KartingMonday 06 August, 19:00 THE ALPINE STORYA brand new series of fascinating documentaries begins this week on Motors TV. The first programme on Alpine racecars, takes a look at the eponymous-marque founded by Frenchman Jean Rédélé in the 1950s. The epsiode traces Alpine’s history from its early beginnings to the current day as well as cataloguing the cars they produced for road and race track.

BIKES AT BRANDS HATCHWith just four rounds to go of the 2007 World Superbike Championship, Britain’s James Toseland is maintaining his lead in the overall standings. It is now crunch time however and with Round 12 taking place at his home circuit Brands Hatch, the Englishman will never have a better chance to increase his lead. Motors TV has extended highlights of both the Superbike and Supersports races.

This week they head to Spa-Francorchamps with all the drivers still looking to close Estonian Marko Asmer’s massive points lead. Motors TV has hour-long highlights of Race One and Race Two from Belgium.

The endurance-style races see grids of up to 40 stunning GT machines, each piloted by a pair of top drivers, do battle across two classes in what are always action-packed races. Irishman Ralph Firman Jr currently shares the championship lead with team-mate Daisuke Ito, but with just five points covering the top five drivers, there’s everything to play for heading into the Sugo 300, round five of the championship!
