Week 33, 11th – 19th August 2007BRITISH F3 HITS SPAIn 2007 the British F3 International Series has continued its tradition of allowing the championships young drivers to test themselves on some of the finest circuits in Europe. This week they head to Spa-Francorchamps with all the drivers still looking to close Estonian Marko Asmer’s massive points lead. Motors TV has hour-long highlights of Race One and Race Two from Belgium.

Wonderful, dynamic racing cars from Jaguar, Mercedes, Porsche and Toyota, did battle at the Le Mans 24 Hours and in the World Sportscar Championship. Those halcyon days have been recreated by the Group C / GTP Championship, round 4 of which takes place at Silverstone, with highlights on Motors TV.

Motors TV has followed the championship around Europe this season, with the gravel roads of Rally Finland next in line for the hopefuls. Another former champion, Sweden’s Per-Gunnar Andersson, leads the standings but Estonian Urmo Aava’s win last time out in Italy sets the scene for what should be a terrific rally.

Due to the sports growing popularity on both sides of the Atlantic, Motors TV will devote two-hours of highlights to Round 8 at Washougal, covering the 125 and 250cc categories, as the riders spectacularly contest the whoops and jumps in their bids for victory.

The works Peugeot’s are still dominating out front, but with such varied racing machines from Pescarolo, Zytek, Lola, Courage, Radical and Creation as well as stunning GT cars such as the Aston Martin DBR9, Corvette C6-R, Saleen S7, Ferrari 550 Maranello, Porsche 997, Panoz Esperante and Spyker C8 Spyder, all in action on the same track, there really is something for everyone. Le Mans Series, Round 4, SpaSunday 19 August, 11:15DELAYED-AS-LIVE – V8 SUPERCARSIt’s beginning to look like a lost cause for Ford in this year’s V8 Supercar Championship. With Holden’s Garth Tander and Rick Kelly racing clear at the top of the championship Jamie Whincup and Craig Lowndes need a big performance in their Ford Falcons at Oran Park this weekend.
