With what appeared to be a little gamesmanship - Fernando held up Lewis to snatch pole in the dying seconds of qualifying. Or was Fernando unaware of Lewis?!
Lewis put himself on provisional pole with a few minutes to go. Fernando was in the pits and free to leave to make his final bid for pole and inexplicably delayed his departure for about 10 seconds - delaying Lewis and preventing him from taking his final lap and attempt at gaining pole.
Ron looked a little upset by this and refused to discuss the matter on TV immediately after the event - but you can assume his dialogue with Fernando will be somewhat heated.
How driven will Lewis be tomorrow to redress the balance? :) - should be a good race.
Heidfeld underlined BMW's improving performance pipping Kimi for 3rd - with Felipe not even making Q3 after a disastrous Q2 where a car problem prevented him from doing anything other than 14th.
