BMW Sauber F1 fan event in Munich

Exclusivity is writ large in the BMW Sauber F1 Team Race Club, the team's official fan club.

1st September is when an event will happen in Munich to match that aspiration. A stone's throw from the BMW "four-cylinder" tower, they will be able to spend an entire day in the Olympic Park's event arena with drivers Nick Heidfeld, Robert Kubica and Timo Glock, as well as Mario Theissen and Peter Sauber. On top of that, there will be a BMW Sauber F1 Team car driving in the 'Parkharfe'.

Included in the programme's agenda, hosted by Hans-Joachim Stuck for the Race Club members, will be the "Pit Stop Challenge" made familiar by the BMW Sauber F1 Team Pit Lane Park - where members can roll up their sleeves and change Formula One tyres - as well as interactive computer games, F1 simulators with authentic cockpits, an extensive exhibition of BMW Motorsport vehicles and racing paraphernalia, a Carrera track, a children's programme, and driving activities around a variety of BMW Driver Training courses. A prize draw will give participants a chance to win signed racing driver gear, original vehicle parts and miniature scale models. Of course the team members will be available for autographs.

The event, which runs under the motto "You're part of the Team", starts at 10.00 hrs and ends at 18.30 hrs. For fans coming from Switzerland there will be a coach transfer or test drives to Munich in BMW production cars. If you are not yet a member of the Race Club, you can sign up on location. There is a choice of Silver membership (44 euros annual subscription), Gold (99 euros) or Platinum (999 euros).
