With his fifth consecutive victory, Audi driver Gianni Morbidelli has prematurely clinched the title in the Italian Superstars Touring Car Series. Starting from pole position at Vallelunga, the former Formula 1 driver celebrated a commading lights-to-flag victory with his Audi RS 4. Team-mate Giorgio Sanna also started from the front row but could not finish the race after damaging the oil cooler of his Audi RS 4 in a collision.
